
One of the most prominent researchers in the world, in the area of climate change, Dr Rajendra Pachauri is chair of the Intergovernamental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Among many other distinctions, Dr Pachauri has received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
Dr. Pachauri is with the TERI University, and his research and contributions for the global awareness about the climate problems are largely known in all the world. As an expert in the field, Dr. Pachauri recommends a dietary shift, as part of the solution to global warming: "In the case of meat consumption there are benefits not only to the individual who reduces consumption of meat but clear advantages in terms of reducing GHG emissions.".
