Douglas Hofstadter supports IVW

Douglas Hofstadter is a Distinguished Professor of Cognitive Science and Comparative Literature at the College of Arts and Sciences of the Indiana University, Bloomington. Among other distinctions, he received the Pulitzer Prize and the American Book Award.

He is best known for his book Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid, first published in 1979, for which he was awarded the 1980 Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction. But Hofstadter has published 8 books and numerous scientific papers on various subjects. He has produced outstanding work in his areas of research, which include the study of consciousness, thinking, creativity and mathematics.
