Qatar to Host 15th Conference of CITES on March

Doha, February 28, 2010

The state of Qatar is to host on March 13-25 at the Sheraton Doha Hotel the 15th triennal conference of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) also known as the Washington Convention.

The conference, to be held for the first time in an arab country, such as Qatar, is to bring together about 2000 figures representing the 175-member CITES along with a big number of world civil societies related to the wild fauna and flora...
